Wine and Words

I’ve been invited to share my book publicly tomorrow at The Villages’ Wine and Words. I’ll be reading at the Riverbend Recreation Center starting at 6:30. I knew of the program but really didn’t know much about it. When I looked it up, this is what I read.

What if there was a place where authors who love to write could share their works with people who love to experience great literature being performed? There is. Come join us at Wine and Words.

Starting in 2021, the Wine and Words club began collaborating with the 200+ members of the Writers League of the Villages (WLOV) to bring great authors and people who love literature together. It has been a terrific experience.

Wine and Words gives WLOV authors a place to share insights on how they write, how they develop their characters and works, and their own background. It’s an especially good forum for launching new works.

The participation of WLOV authors enables Wine and Words to expose residents of The Villages to a wide range of writing genres and styles. It’s a place for authors and readers to connect in a personal way.

I’m looking forward to the opportunity.  I shared my book at the local Barnes and Noble last spring.  This is a more intimate venue.  You don’t have to drink wine, but you may.  It’s BYO so plan accordingly.

I’ve chosen a couple of stories to share.  I’ve opted for lighter fare as I know I may get emotional.  That’s just how I roll.

If you’re able to attend, I hope you do.  If you haven’t already purchased my book, they’ll be available.  If you plan to purchase some as Christmas gifts that would be nice too.  In any case, I’m looking forward to the event. I like to share and read aloud.
