If you read my blog through a direct link to my site, you’ll notice some changes. If you read it through Facebook, you may wish to try the direct approach. I’ve added two links to the top of the page. One takes you to your Amazon account (if you have one) and the second takes you to some audio stories I plan to post.
The link to your Amazon account provides you with an easy option to purchase either a printed version of my book or the audio version. I don’t totally understand the linking protocol but apparently it works. It some sort of technical wizardry. Some of you have asked how to purchase and now you can go right to the source.
The audio link will take you to audio stories. The stories I plan to post are audio versions of stories I’ve previously written. I have over seven hundred and fifty to choose from, so I thought I’d give it a go. I plan to post an audio story a couple of times a month. If you’ve read a story that you’d like to hear, let me know. Right now, I’m going to focus on stories that are popping up as “memories” on my phone. I think they’re suggestions from Ruth. Who knows?
If you’ve received a post from “Kristine”, she’s the professional that I hired to update the website and create the links. She posted a thing, or two, in her name as a part of the process. She did the posting, but I did the writing and recording.
If you’ve read my book, and would like a free audio version, please post a review on Amazon. Here’s the process for writing a review.
To rate a book on Amazon, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Amazon account.
- Go to the product detail page for the book you want to rate.
- If you have placed an order for the book, you can also go to Your Orders.
- Scroll down to the Customer Reviews section and select Write a product review.
- Select a star rating for the book.
- Optionally, add text, photos, or videos to your review.
- Click Submit.
Once I see that you’ve posted a review, I’ll send you a link to receive an audiobook. I’m limiting this offer to the first twenty people who post a review. Easy Peasy.
On a related note, Elizabeth and I will be sharing our books at the Writers League of The Villages Book Expo on Sunday. She’s flying in from California for the event. If you are nearby, it runs 10 am – 3 pm. at the Eisenhower Recreation Center. There will be about 90 authors, and they expect a crowd approaching 3,000. Here’s a sample of how we plan to set up our table.
Visitors will have an opportunity to spin our wheel for coveted prizes. We’ll be offering a discount to everyone in attendance, so you could catch a deal.
I first attended the expo two years ago. That’s the day I met my book publisher. I’ve come full circle. Thanks for your support and encouragement.
I am looking forward to spinning the wheel! You never know what might happen. 🙂
Bob,
I might suggest a framed picture of the black dot on an otherwise white page. That image has stuck with me since you read that story at memoir group. Good luck on Sunday.

Thanks Mike. I look at it every day. I’ll be sure to take it. It’s the only picture in my book.
Excellent, so glad Kristine was able to help you! I’ll be attending the Book Expo too. It’s so fun mingling with authors 😍
